Don't be afraid to rock the boat!

One of my favorite authors has a quote I constantly keep in my mind:

“Show me a completely smooth operation and I'll show you someone who's covering mistakes. Real boats rock.” - Frank Herbert

This quote reminds us that it is more important to make the best decision you can based on the information you have at the time, then to hesitate because it might be a mistakes. The only way to lose from mistakes is to fail to learn the lesson; failure to communicate transparently and/or failure to take action and prevent future repeat mistakes.

Be bold and make good decisions based on the best data you have available and don't fear that the decision may later be revealed as a mistake.

Goal for TodayPraise someone for a mistake they made and ask then what they learned from the mistake and how you might avoid making the same mistake!
